Tickmill is looking for a Web Developer (React) to join our rapidly expanding business with demonstrated experience in designing and implementing beautiful and functional web applications.

Working closely with the Software Development and Product Management Teams, you will be responsible for producing high quality web front end applications along with solving technical problems and functionality requirements.

What the job looks like?

The Web Developer (React) will have the opportunity to:

  • Build the user interface (UI) of our web applications.
  • Ensure that the code and overall application UI components are highly optimized, appealing, and easy to maintain.
  • Collaborate closely with backend developers and the whole project team as per the requirements of the project.
  • Research and integrate new web technologies and provide recommendations for emerging trends.

What will you need to be able to do the job?

  • Proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript, DOM manipulation and the JavaScript object model.
  • Experience of using CSS stylesheet languages (SASS) and libraries such as Bootstrap/Foundation.
  • Experience with popular React.js workflows (such as Flux or Redux).
  • Experience using RESTful APIs to integrate web applications to server-side systems.
  • Knowledge of browser testing, debugging, benchmarking and optimization.
  • Good understanding, awareness of usability, accessibility, cross browser issues.
  • Excellent analytical, and problem-solving skills with both developers and product members.
  • Proficient in English language with excellent written and verbal communication skills.

It will be considered as a plus if you have:

  • Experience using another popular JavaScript framework such as Angular or Vue.
  • Experience using Git or any other code versioning tool.
  • Experience with agile development methodologies.
  • Experience within the financial markets Industry on a similar IT field.
